Yesterday we see this... bloomberg/news/2014-08-25/putin-to-meet-poroshenko-as-ukraine-tensions-escalate.html... today we see this... ibtimes.co.uk/russia-begins-full-scale-invasion-ukraine-world-leaders-scramble-1463066 Im hesitant to believe the media reports on the latter.. an invasion would be 100,000 troops and air strikes.. I suspect if Russia really wanted to launch a full scale invasion - it would begin with an air assault - and I suspect they could knock out the artillery in Kiev in about the same time it took me to write the last sentence. It may be true that Russia is supporting the separatists, and if so, they should possibly back off.. but the drums of war are-a-beating from Europe, the US and allies including my own country, and I suspect the rhetoric is more propaganda than fact.. I hope my hunch is right, and I hope sanity prevails. Heartened to hear Obama definitively rule out a military conflict.. the sane advice - Stand down, breath. We dont need a new cold war, and we sure as hell dont need a hot one.
