Yesterday while I was grocery shopping the young mother in the next check out was a few dollars short of her total. There were about 6 others waiting in line in the surrounding 3 lanes who figured out what was going on in the time it took the cashier who was obviously new to calculate the shortage and get it taken care of. Every single one of those people reached into their purse, pocket or wallet and offered to help as we waited for this situation to be resolved. Not one nasty word was uttered. Not one person became impatient or got riled. Every single person wished this young mother and her children well and said God bless them as they left. Those children saw a fine example of how things should go when stuff like this happens. People pull together and a community takes care of their own. Good job, Connellsville. Proud to be a resident of this fine community. #payitforward
