Yesturday I had a meeting with the former Mr. Gay Namibia, Wendelinus Hamutenya. In this meeting we discussed the issues pertaining to HIV/AIDS among the gay/lesbian community. During the meeting Wendelinus also expressed their (gay community) dissapointments in me becouse when raising HIV/AIDS I only focused on man and women, leaving out man/man and woman/woman even when we all know that HIV does not discriminate. I accept that weakness point in me as an activist, my apology to all the gay/lesbian people out there. I will do my research well and consult the ministry of health to see how best to include everyone in this fight. You see like many others, I was one of those who thought gay and lesbian are just things of the media and does not exist but after this meeting I have learned that Gay/lesbian is real and does exist and is quite risky in terms of STIs if protection is not used or not used properly. Will keep you posted... Appreciate the fact that you wake up breathing this morning ready to learn new things and aim for success in whatever you do.
