Enjoy... freedom by henry cedric mcinnis what would you do to be free? would you bleed? thats blood, or choose to flee from your misery? freedom dont come cheap, its the essence of self, leaving, going home, we invest the rest as wealth, is breathing the air enough, or do you need more? is believing to care, trust? what would you bleed for? the soil, already ripe with blood, has room for more, the toils of many ride a flood passed to whom ignores, would you die for it? just a word, freedom, after all, should you lie for it? push a sword, leaving little scars, independence is what some call this illusive state, living with it is to love, living without it leads to hate, when we defend this, some fall, missed truly, fate blind, destiny deaf, all we possess cant change that, time has to be bereft, a last breath is never painless, you are going to die but what are you going to die for, life is never stainless, you try to question you, never knowing, liar we all like to see the pretty lights fly across the sky, be called by whom we pray might be alright, toss aside the feelings of sacrifice, pile the burgers on the grill, be unwilling to act, in spite of the bearers of the meal, then again, could you kill to be free? take another life, men, women, some do, still, many face a tougher fight, this celebrations not about one day or itd be nothing, since elevations not about what some say but loving, so pour a little liquor out for all the heroes of our past, throw more sizzling pork, gorge, call old friends, the last one to the barbeque probably wont get none, freedom, freedom, bring out some brew, before were through, this joint gonna sing out, freedom! thank you father, freedom! turn the music up, we done came too far, the bleeding, burning, we used up a lot of energy, can we go on together? now when I say freedom!, you say independence!!, its not a query of can we get better but can we defend this?,
