You Are God’s Most Prized Possession Written by Jerry Savelle God is always mindful of you! “When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man, that you care for him? For you made him a little lower than the angels, and crowned him with glory and honor” (Psalm 8:3-5, NIV). Have you ever just stopped and looked around at God’s creation? A beautiful evening sunset, a clear, star filled night, mountain scenery that takes your breath away! The psalmist is saying, Lord, You’re so magnificent and creative, why would you have anything to do with man? Why would you be so mindful of him? You are God’s most prized possession! In fact, in His mind, you are His prized possession above the stars, above the moon, above the heavens, above all His creative handiwork. An artist may display the many wonderful, creative pieces he designs, but there’s always one that is his most prized possession. That’s the way God feels about YOU! Confession: Thank you, Father, that You are always mindful of me, thinking thoughts of love, good, and favor toward me.
