You CAN have a happy healthy CHEAP salt water aquarium, if you dont want to keep delicate species, ive been basically setting up saltwater tanks the same way I do freshwater ones for years - I just use real seawater to fill it instead, lasts just as long trouble-free as the expensive professional set-ups. But if you want to keep delicate deep water or non-community species - you cant get away with this as I do.
