You Wont Regret It Dear Shirley , The very God of peace - TopicsExpress

You Wont Regret It Dear Shirley , The very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and . . . your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thes. 5:23) If you had to sum up in a few words Gods purpose for your life, what would you say? Obviously, His plan is not simply to get you to heaven. If it were, He could have easily translated you as soon as you were born again. No, He leaves you here for a purpose. And what is that purpose? That your whole being-your spiritual, emotional, psychological, and physical life-be preserved blameless till our Lord Jesus Christ comes again (1 Thes. 5:23). The word sanctify means set apart for Gods use. If God has all of you, you wont have any regrets. Indeed, the only time youll have regrets is when you decide to use your life yourself, when you insist on doing things your way. But if God has you to use as He sees fit-the use of your spirit to worship Him, the use of your emotions to enjoy Him and to sense His nearness, the use of your body to implement His will toward others-He will preserve you blameless as you await Christs promised return. Small thought here: How does God preserve us? He makes us awake (v. 6). He makes us aware (vv. 4-5). He arms us against the enemy (v. 8). Awake, aware, and properly armed. Thats how God proposes to work out His purpose in your life.
