You all may have seen or heard the news about a fisherman getting medevac’d off a boat near Sitka. This was a 21 year old young man from Angoon. He is the youngest brother of my Niece’s fiancé. His name is Jordan Joseph. His parents are Sally and Frank Joseph of Angoon. Sadly his hand and arm got caught in the winch on the fishing vessel Jerilyn. He was sent to Sitka and then to Harborview Hospital in Seattle. He underwent major surgery last night, but lost some fingers and the doctors are doing everything they can to save the functioning of his arm. I am writing to you because his family and Jordan will need some support to deal with the costs of his care in Seattle, and to get back home after his care is completed.
