You are encouraged to discuss why you love Wes Anderson films! No need to keep it secret. Why I love, Rushmore. I love that it is about three people making the wrong choices and not seeing what is right in front of them. We have an incredibly talented kid that spends all of his time doing superhuman extracurricular activities and chasing a woman that is impossibly unavailable to him, instead of just doing well in school and easily living the dreams he has. We have a successful business man that is trapped by a horrible family he allows to dominate him and only makes his break for freedom when someone else forces change upon him. And we have a woman so trapped in the past she lives in her dead husbands bedroom from childhood. Wes Anderson thinks failure so much interesting than success, but at the end of this film you have to believe that all three of our, failures are now on a new path, and the future for them is unknown and probably better.
