You are right, Abby.....Id give anything I have not to be living these days. This family is such an incredible blessing to me. We look from eyes to eyes... Reading one another for their immediate needs. We congregate in homes in and out and miss one another until they return. Some we are waiting on. Dustin ONeal Moeller and Jennifer havent arrived yet and when they do we will feel more complete. We allow each other to laugh and then burst into tears. We pray together and we nap together and we eat together. Weve looked at pictures and watched videos of sweet jake. We relive our grief every time a new face walks in. We read texts and posts that give us comfort. Its surreal how it hits us that he is gone. Our jake is gone. Hes not making coffee,Hes not carrying around a baby or picking at the ham or eating all the olives before the blessing is said. But... Somehow it all makes sense to us. Somehow Jake going homeisnt a real shocker to us any more. He was ready.. We are experiencing a comfort that is beyond our understanding. A LOVE from our FATHER that cant be explained. It is an intimacy beyond words for a brokenness that cant be uttered. It is beauty for ashes. The unspoken knowledge of one anothers death grip on the hem of HIS garment and holding on for dear life doesnt go unnoticed. I believe It will change us. I believe it will show us great and mighty things that we did not know. On Saturday we will gather at the foot of that cross and once again lay this burden down. We will find a way to rejoice in our brokenness and praise Him for what HE has made possible through the death of HIS beloved Son. We cant dwell on what happened to bring this tragedy. We dont need a name or to carry anger. Just to know this simple fact...Jake went HOME. Please remember us in your prayers.
