His 1982 Thriller album is still the best-selling album of all time. He’s been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, and has over 700 industry awards, making him the most celebrated recording artist in the history of popular music. He was also a great humanitarian. He’s been recognized for supporting 39 different charities, more than any other artist. Proving that he truly wanted to change the world, to make it a better place for all of us. His music broke down racial barriers and transformed the music video medium into an art form. Michael believed that in a world of hate, anger, despair and distrust, we must dare to hope, comfort, dream and believe. And it all started by looking at the man in the mirror, make the change in yourself that you want to see in the world. No message could have been any clearer,that everything starts within. Believe and be grateful. As he prayed, there’s so much around us to be thankful. MJ once said: “if you come to this world knowing you are loved and leave this world knowing the same, then everything that happens in between can be dealt with.” Some people desperately search for love but when love is in your heart, it’s everywhere. Michael was exceptional but it wasn’t just because of his talent. It was because of his work ethic, his will, and his belief that no star is out of reach if you never give up. Never give up on your dreams. If someone ever tells you that you can’t, all you have to do is remove the T at the end, and you CAN. We can program ourselves to be the person we want, whatever the subject matter. We live in it by a system of learning and doing, studying all the greats in that field and becoming greater even if it’s sweeping floors or painting ceilings, do it better than anybody else in the world. Whatever is you do, strive to be the best, have respect for it and be proud of yourself. Whatever you believe, you become. Believe in yourself. Take a look at the man in the mirror and when you’re ready, look beyond. Don’t be afraid of who you see. You are so much more than you ever could have imagined. Be happy to be alive, be happy to be yourself. It’s tragic he’s passed away but be joyful he lived and left us with the wisdom that in the universe a star can never die.
