You can hate war all you want..its an ugly thing, people die...nobody likes war, but tell me this...what is the point in having a military if you do not use it? For those of you who say, well if we never went there in the first place, none of this would be happening, you couldnt be any more of an ignorant buffoon. The United States was attacked...On our own soil...And nearly 3,000 innocent Americans were killed. Are we supposed to just tuck our tail between our legs and cower away, showing weakness and allowing them to strike again? If someone breaks into your house in the middle of the night and kills a member of your family, will you not take any preventative measures such as arming yourself and getting a security system installed? Find whatever brain matter left that you can locate, and let that sink in. It is the same concept, just on a larger scale. Why are we waiting for more Americans to pop up on videos having their heads cut off? Where do we draw the line? Every Soldier, Marine, Airman, and Sailor knew the risks involved when we signed our enlistment contracts. We knew that someday, we might have to confront evil when it shows its ugly face. Our job is to defend this country and every American who lives here. That is a responsibility we wholeheartedly accepted. Do you not take care of a wound when you receive it, or do you let it get infected and spread throughout your body? We can either stand up and eliminate the threat before it comes back to attack us again, or we can sit around and let more innocent people die...its that simple. For those who departed on this tragic day 13 years ago, you will never be forgotten...
