You can intimately experience the bats here. I stayed until after 9:00 and they were still emerging. July is the time when the new pups begin flying. I stood under the bridge on the sidewalk and they were right above my head. I love that the bats and predators such as hawks have adapted to urban life. The hawks fly close and overhead here. The docents at Bracken Cave said they are wary of people and less active on nights when viewers are there. Yes, this is bat chatter and I can never get enough of it!!! I still feel like a kid each time that I go.
