"You can pray 5 times a day and live your life, you do not need to - TopicsExpress

"You can pray 5 times a day and live your life, you do not need to eat tons of food to survive, you can actually live without swearing and getting angry at people, you do have the power to forgive others, but why is it that when shaytan the accursed comes back into our lives we act like little stringed up puppets dancing to our whims and desires. Suddenly we can not spare 20 minutes for Isha when we gave 2 hours to tarawee prayers. Suddenly controlling our anger becomes so much harder, suddenly it’s much harder to be kind to others, suddenly giving to the poor seems like a big task and this is because we are becoming slaves to our desires rather then slaves to Allah. At the end of this Ramadan I want you to not think of what you did in this month, but think of what you will do the rest of the year. Next time this month comes try to be already regular in your prayer, try and live the life of a Muslim. We are slaves of Allah and it is our duty not only to pray but to be nice to others, to listen to others, to forgive, to be charitable, to not waste, and to live lives following the Sunnah of our prophet. We have been told how to dress, how to walk, how to talk, how to eat and in short how to live our lives. It is hard I admit but you know what it will not get easier if you think I will do it later when I am more mature or when I have a better understanding of the religion. The reasons for that are firstly you do not even know how long your life will be and if you will live the next minute or not. Also when you take that first step you can move forward. You can not sit on the ground and expect that knowledge will come down to you or that you will improve automatically. It is a hard road and it will not get easier unless you start following it. The first step is hardest, whether it is studies or exercise and it the same goes for becoming a believing slave of Allah and only that will count on the Day of Judgment. Remember that and change for the better and may Allah help us follow the Quran and Sunnah and become better Muslims."
