You have heared from muslim appologists saying that Jihad means ONLY and ONLY strugle to pure your soule . Lets see if quran confirms their claim : Quran (48:17) - There is no blame for the blind, nor is there blame for the lame, nor is there blame for the sick (that they go not forth to war). And whoso obeyeth Allah and His messenger, He will make him enter Gardens underneath which rivers flow; and whoso turneth back, him will He punish with a painful doom. Contemporary apologists sometimes claim that Jihad means spiritual struggle. Is so, then why are the blind, lame and sick exempted? This verse also says that those who do not fight ( litterally and spritually ) will suffer torment in hell. Unless they are blind or invalid of some kind. Cant a blind or some one who has lost tlegs and can not walk any more , have a spritual struggle ? This confirms that when quran or Islam talks about jihad , it is talking about war and killing . Any muslim reader wgo opposes this statment , please step forward. By the way I have not seen many muslims these days , where do you think they are hiding know. The may think that this page is like an storm and soon we will get tired and become silent. They are very wrong.
