You know I can handle a lot of shit, and usually do. I am usually superwoman. But Ive felt like Ive lost faith in people. And it seems like when you go out of your way to help people you get used, or accused of being selfish when you finally decide to not be taken advantage of anymore. And they say that nice guys finish last. Its true. Me and George have never leaned on people for much of anything. And have never wanted to. And have worked our asses off for everything. And we are proud of that. If we shut people out simply because we want to protect ourselves from the seemingly endless amount of bs that comes along with a person it doesnt mean we dont love them, it means that we worked too hard to let anyone try to destroy it whether it be financially or emotionally. We have three kids that depend on us and only us. THEY are our priority. Period. You can call us selfish, I call it being protective. Selfishness is thinking that we owe anyone anything. Cuz we dont. Never have, never will. And we want people that want us around simply because they love us, not because they expect things from us.
