You know I rarely air my problems on Facebook because it isnt a place for them, but I just read something that Im sure another mom out there should read and this may help somebody else... My house is a mess... it has been since my twins were born. My van is a mess. Im not a dirty person and our things arent dirty, but they sure are messy. I doubt you can find a place to put your feet in my van right now. Its not because I dont care about my things, its not because I dont respect all the things my husband has worked so hard to provide for us, its not that I dont love and appreciate a clean house, its because I love my kids, I love being with them, I love playing with them, I love having tea partys with the big 1/4 gallon jug Jaylynn spilled down the hallway, I love bath time because Ryan cracks me up, he stands up then very silly like falls down making the funniest expressions, and then my bath tub over flows and takes forever to dry up...I love teaching Ryan how to play baseball and if on the sofa in our den is the place to learn, so be it...I love the bracelets JeMeka Hayley Gilbert makes me with her rubber bands and looms, I find the ones she makes herself and the babies lying everywhere... I love that she is dedicated to something enough to not let it be a phase and she enjoys being creative, I love that she is active and her clothing have dirt stains on them...Im not going to lie, I get upset because it seems like I try to fix everything by myself, and I get upset when something gets destroyed, and I get upset when its obvious I need help and nobody runs at me with their hands in the air volunteering to help me....all this being said, my family is happy, my kids are learning not to fear water, Ryan got in the kiddie pool yesterday without 3 forms of flotation devises, Hayley is building lasting relationships by including her best friend in the fun things she does, and even though her room wasnt finished, she is learning ALOT in bible school this week, my kids know who God is and what he made and that they can talk to him anytime they want, both my kiddos were potty trained before 3 and we still get excited when we go potty, except when Ryan does in public places and in my foryer, but hey, it wasnt on himself.... my kids get soooo excited when either of us get home, they are so loved and happy, they arent rude by pointing out your mess at your house and offer up a hopeful you should see ours! Which I know makes all moms feel better :) and my husband knows Im crazy about him because instead of clearing the dishes right after dinner, I go snuggle with him or help him do whatever hes doing instead.. :) So Ill take my happy family over a clean house any day... and Im getting better at demanding help instead of asking for it.. haha
