You know, over the last few days, Ive had the moments Ive been waiting for since my daughter was born. Ive come home from work, and shes very excited, all smiles, crawling across the floor full speed, putting the one arm in the air that isnt on the floor, reaching for me..... seriously, tears. That is the most AMAZING feeling, I have EVER known. She reminds me with her smile, why I get up, and get to work a half hour early, put up with the politics of working for a corporation, deal with the multiple personalities thrown my way, to make it all work. I do it for my wife and daughter. I forget that while Im actually doing it. But to come through that door, and that little hand is raised, and that little smile peeking up from under those eyebrows? It all comes quickly into focus. Its tough being a first time dad at 38. My body is broken, and had been abused by my own doing. Im so grateful, god spared my life, that I could have these moments to cherish. Thankyou God, friends and ESPECIALLY family, for keeping me on this journey, called LIFE! Jessica, Beverly, and everyone on this friends list that had walked beside me along the way. I love you.
