The nurse said after my op, come back Tuesday for dressing change and wound check, then 9th for stitches removed! Today, a letter arrives! Stitches to be removed on 5th! This has bugged me all morning... So I rang the hospital to check! The receptionist confirmed the details and said no other appointments are necessary! Okay I replied, so stitches out 4 days early??? ..... Ill check Mrs Bailey was the fed up sigh at the end of the phone! ...hello! Mrs Bailey! We are SO sorry, but all those details are wrong! You need to be seen tomorrow and stitches cannot be removed until day 10! We apologise! Good bloody job I checked isnt it! Now waiting to be squeezed in tomorrow for a probably already busy clinic! Grrrrr!
