You know something..Im getting really tired of natives letting their own suffer through the winter...& Im getting really tired of the excuses and non action. We have winter in North America almost every year..It gets very cold and snowy...fuel / hydro prices go up folks suffer WHY..you have approximately 8/9 months every year to help folks get ready for winter, fix up the houses, chop & stack firewood, set aside a fuel fund, get warm clothes & blankets for folks yet every winter same thing folks freezing & dying cause of the cold, no one checks on them & no one really cares...whats with you people..you get upset when outsiders want to help but you refuse to help your own. Yall want to blame the government..but the government you ought to be blaming is the one right there on the rez. Band officials ought to be ashamed of themselves for the way they treat their people. I dont know what the heck you do all year but you sure dont make much of an effort to improve the lives of community members...which happens to be your responsibility...
