You know what I am going to miss? I am going to miss having every window in my house open all day and all night. I am going to miss hearing all the birds in the woods all day long and all the night bugs singing me to sleep. I am going to miss the gentle breezes drifting through my house and the breezes that make my flag stand out straight and leave my house and everything in it smelling sooo fresh. BUT, I will enjoy the bite to the air as it cools into Fall. I will enjoy the beauty of that first snowfall clinging to every branch of every tree next to my house. I will enjoy walking through the woods and finding all those tracks and trying to identify them. And for a while, at least, I will enjoy the smell of the wood smoke as its flames warm my house like no gas furnace can. It is hard to think about saying so long to summer, but oh, the anticipation of Fall and Winter!!!!
