You know whats sad, my newsfeed is almost entirely filled with pictures of things people received for Christmas. Its like this endless parade of people needing to show off their new possessions like some sort of popularity contest. You know what I would love to see, pictures of people spending time with their family...or better yet, nothing at all, because people are too busy enjoying the company of their loved ones to post on fb. Isnt that what its supposed to be about? You never know when those precious moments will be gone forever. I would give all the gifts in the world to spend a Christmas with my family, and I feel like this holiday has been boiled down to price tags and greed. In the end the things we own end up owning us. We live in a far too materialistic world.
