You know you did something right when it generates good things, good feelings, good relationships. As you know, few days ago we published the trailer to the documentary in the works, inspired by the book. It is homemade, definitely far away from perfect, but Leon Irvin and I did it with practically no means so, it is what it is, and it will get better later when well film more but, so far, people seem to like it and it has already brought some good things . Our idea was to put contemporary music together with traditional Indian songs and we had the opportunity to do so thanks to Black Owl Society , who offered us a beautiful song of theirs, for free. Now, Steve Chan, has been a Canadian independent music producer in Canada for a number of year. I never met him in person but we have become Facebook friends thanks to the book Dakota Warrior that, as he put it, profoundly moved him. He sees the trailer and messages me right after saying that he couldnt help but feeling in his head the music of this band he produced years ago, while watching the trailer. So Steve talks to the band, and they agreed theyd be honored to contribute some music to the documentary about the life of such an amazing man as James was. Steve sends me the links to their second album, Machine Land. I listen and I am totally blown away. Particularly thinking that two of the band members were only 21 when they recorded it. Anyhow, here it is the single that was chosen to advertise the album (which has always been in the top 100 in Canada for a while). Check them out and stay tuned.
