You may have noticed some exciting new changes at Swanson Supermarket! Swanson Supermarket has upgraded our till system to make things much more efficient and easier for our customers and cashiers alike, which you no doubt have already seen in action! The new scales at each counter also mean we sell all our produce and meat on exact weight. This massive upgrade was hand in hand with the installation of a second EFTPOS terminal, and the ability to now accept Visa and MasterCard (we on-charge the 3% surcharge for Credit Cards). Our local customers are also making use of the free cash out facility, as well as visiting tourists. We also now have the ability to store transaction history for our account customers, as well as print and email invoices, statements and the like. This is proving very effective for businesses, which can then pay online via Internet Banking. If you would like your account invoices and/or statements emailed on a regular basis – please just let us know! The new till system also has fantastic stock control functions, which will streamline our ordering and levels of stock – making things a lot more efficient and effective for everyone. Our premise is also having a makeover – we’ve added new drinks fridges inside; two new Reefer containers for our frozen storage; and very soon our car park is being sealed ‘properly’ as well as a fresh paint job on building – we can’t wait for these improvements! You may be aware that I am leaving Niue October this year. I will finish my role as General Manager of Swanson this month, and Amanda Pita will become the Store Manager for Swanson. Amanda is back full time at Swanson, and is the go-to person for all your requests and queries. You may hear from Felma Solano though, who is taking over the Accounts Administration for Swanson.
