You may have read in the citizen about a male that has been barred from every pub and restaurant in the county apart from us! I think that the reason the Double Gloucester was chosen as the one venue that he is allowed to drink in as long as all paid is due to some people threatening a total cross county ban is against a persons human right, (This is what was advised by the police) and this has been in the trade press numerous times over the past few years. I can assure all of you, working with the police all of our staff have been fully trained and briefed on this person, and should he enter the premises he shall be having a close eye kept on him, and should any situation occur then he shall be politely asked to leave the premises, as we do not wish to spoil the hard work that has been put into the pub over the past few years. As to why it should be some where local doesnt make a great deal of sense, to me it would be more effective if the only premises that he could enter would be at the far end of the County, thus making it harder for him. But never fear, he shall not be changing any of the great days that we all have at the Double Gloucester.
