You might be feeling down on yourself tonight; like you just dont measure up. Trust me, I know exactly what that feels like. Just a few weeks ago, as I was spending time with Jesus, I poured my heart out to Him about how I was feeling about myself. Oh…I had a long list of I am NOTs to share with Him! I was unprepared for His response: For every ‘I AM NOT’ that I said I was… He gently whispered to my heart... ‘I AM’. I said God….I AM NOT strong. He said: I AM God….I AM NOT qualified. He said: I AM But God….I AM NOT able! He said: I AM I AM is the name Jesus called Himself several times in the bible. That name is a blank check so that we can bring all of our needs, all of our situations, all of our issues as they arise, cash it in and fill it with whatever we need Him to be! If we lack peace, He is our peace! If we lack strength, He is our strength! Everything that I am not… He is. If youre reading this, please know that everything you are not… Jesus is. He is the Great I AM. (God said to Moses, “I Am Who I Am.) (Exodus 3:14)
