You want peace in the middle east? I tell you what needs to happen. We need a generation of young people who arent taught by old people to hate other people. And Im hopeful, because believe it or not, empathy is a really powerful force, and empathy in on the rise. What do I mean? Well, with the images, videos and stories from all perspectives being shared so pervasively throughout the world, we come to understand the horrors and struggles of people being subjected to war, to oppression and violence in general. Specifically, technology makes a difference, because it has a tendency to give us the ability to experience the lives of people across the world, in real time. And from shared experience comes empathy. This is something even my parents generation didnt have access to... so yah, I have some optimism. But please, old cynical, bitter, angry nihilistic men of the world, dont ruin the world for everyone else.
