You wanted predictions posted, here you go. Please remember if your team is + points that is not a good thing it means you are being given points to cover a perceived deficit. Also if you feel slighted or bothered by the opinions of three non-paid goof balls making predictions you need to seek counseling. Okay here we go; Leyden Lions vs Joliet Buccaneers Lions -14 The Lions are coming off of two losses in a row, the first against the Chicago Mustangs in which they saw a lead gradually fade away after special team melt downs the second half, last week’s loss came in the form of a heart breaking game tying field goal and subsequent loss against the Thunder in overtime. Joliet is coming off a bucket of losses and the deeper question here may be; will there be a scoreboard working at the game? Size up front will be too much for the Buc’s to overcome: take the Lions and the give the points on this one. Lions 34-Bucs 10 Indy Generals vs Foxes Generals-3 The chances of the Generals brass receiving a Christmas card from the Foxes is as likely as President Obama receiving a lifetime achievement award from the Tea Party (it aint happening). These two teams do not like each other, after what was perceived as “running up” the score two years ago a player ejected from a game and multiple incidents of message board unhappiness a rebuilt and Championship caliber Foxes now waits for the returning General JT and his upgraded team from last year to visit their new home field stadium in Springfield. Burdened by forfeits and byes the Foxes have been inactive in the MSFL since opening weekend against the Steel. Last week they did play a non-league opponent in which their high powered offense featuring QB Drew Fendrich, RB Darin Utley and a multitude of WR’s featuring Miller Phiffrer and Karlous beat up the Missouri Eagles. This talented group will be facing perhaps the best linebacking core in the MSFL this year in the Indiana Generals not to mention the returning Jeremy Hibbein who takes the helm of the Generals offense. Both teams are loaded, both teams excel in special teams take home field advantage and the points Foxes+3 Lake Geneva Generals vs the Madison Mustangs Mustangs -17 Last year at this time I would have told you the Generals had a punchers chance this year is a much different year for both teams. Sure we saw the for sale signs of General Equipment with faces popping up in Racine and Wauwatosa and knew the Generals would struggle this year. What no one could predict is the troubles of the Madison Mustangs who have yet to defeat a team not in the IFL last year. Madison’s biggest problem is they find the end zone as many times as JayNovel is friended by MSFL members on face book. Scoring only 66 points this year the Mustangs are second to last in point total in the west finishing only ahead of the Generals. Generals had a better week against the Warriors but this will be the week the Mustangs find some offense; take the Mustangs and give the points Madison 40 Generals 21. Midstate Steel vs the Lincolnway Patriots Patriots -7 The Midstate Steel the best 0-3 team in the league yes at MSFL Radio we do not count forfeits vs the young Lincolnway Patriots. The Patriots are doing good things in the town of New Lennox, after being purchased by Jimmy Mack (I do not know how to spell Macllenedenednedd) the Patriots have new uniforms a live game day video cast (chicagolandprepreport) free road trips and hotels but unfortunately have new players as well. The departure of perennial all-star QB Mike Strimmel has caused some growing pains for the Patriot Offense and has placed the burden on a young O-line and RB Steve Strimmel. The Steel who knows, this team often starts slow out the gate due to many players, playing 8-man football and have always struggled on the road. The horses seem to be in Peoria but the Jockey may be missing. We at MSFL radio say Patriots still have too many Strimmel’s and Peoria is long ways away take the Patriots and the points Lincolnway 20 Steel 7 Roscoe Rush Muskego Hitmen Roscoe -14 Look at the point spread and you probably think what are you nuts? This is one of the top defenses in the league here with the Hitmen and the Rush gave up 60 against the Warriors. Sit back relax and let an expert talk. The Rush were missing 8 starters on Defense against the Warriors and had an extremely off day the Hitmen have shut down the Generals (last in points) Madison (2nd Last in points) and the Threat offense (defensive team) well the Rush offense is not your regular every day team. QB Jason Hufford of the Rush has 15 touchdowns more than anyone in the league and that is with the bye week last week. The Rush have one of the best if not the best WR core in the league in Carter Jones and Openga so do not look for the Defense of the Hitmen to rule the day in this one tell your friends to go to the window with this one take the Rush and give the 14. Rush 34 Hitmen 20 Mustang vs Thunder (-) Two host of the show play for the Thunder so we will not post an official score. We predict the aforementioned 2 host will drink beer at Q Bar in Darien after the game. Fill in the blank with your own comments and predictions. Spartans vs Venom Spartans -40 Oy Vey Get ready for the scoring updates on this one. Spartans and the Points Spartans 52 Venom 12 Raiders Warriors Raiders -32 Well the only prediction we have here is the Raiders QB will be the league leader in touchdowns after this game take the Raiders and the 32 Raiders 60 Warriors 12
