You were my light, my everything. I remember thinking there was nothing better then you, You had strength, courage, wisdom and there was nothing you couldn’t do. You had big dreams, saw love in everything and I felt safe with you. I walked tall like you, talked like you, sang like you. I saw the way they all looked at you, loved you and admired you. Guess what...I did too. Years gone by, slight wind blows, now tears behind your eyes. Confidence is gone, trouble moving on, and all you see are lies. Tanted, burned, soiled, and hurt, Living in a cloud of cancerous disdain, only you can free yourself from the pain. You have to choose truth, choose light, Before anyone else, you have to want to get right. I want you back. I want to look at you, admire you, and know that’s where its at. I want to drive on the road that you pave, Because you taught me its never too late. I miss you. I think you miss you too... The contamination of sadness has got to go. You’re in control. You always have been. You’re in there somewhere, this I know! So do your dance, spread your wings, prisoner of self, set you free!
