Your Choice “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass [mirror] the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same [spiritual] image from [carnal and earthly] glory to [spiritual and heavenly] glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” (2nd Corinthians 3:18). The Lord Jesus is standing there as we said in the Scripture, and you can see His image in the mirror. Now you can choose to look at the image or you can choose not to, and go your own way. You can choose to gaze upon that image and allow the Holy Spirit to transform you into that, or you can choose to look away and go your own way. You see the Lord Jesus is not going anywhere. You need to know this more than anything else. If you really want that power; if it burns in you so badly that you cannot sleep at night, and when you wake up it is like you have a knot in your stomach. If you want it that badly then turn right now and put your gaze on Jesus. As you do that the Holy Spirit will come, and I can tell you what He is going to do. He will put marks upon your back; He will put a crown of thorns upon your head; He will put scars on your hands and He will put scars on your feet. That is what it means to be conformed to the image of Christ. A Broken Heart I left the most important part for last. To be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ means to have a broken and pierced heart. As Jesus hung on the cross they came and they thrust a spear into His side, and blood and water flowed; He died of a broken heart. It was not only broken, it was pierced as well. The Lord Jesus bears in Himself the suffering of a broken heart continually. You need to have the heart of the Lord Jesus within your breast, and it needs to be continually broken before Him. The Lord Jesus gave me the most awesome revelation of this. As I was communing with Him and speaking to Him I saw tears and He was weeping. I could not understand and thought, “Why is the Lord Jesus weeping?” It really affected me so deeply in my heart. Then He showed me His heart and it was bleeding. It was running with blood, and it was torn and broken. I was so confused I said, “Lord Jesus, what is going on?” He said, “I weep and I bleed for My people. I weep and I bleed for those who do not know Me. I weep and I bleed for those little sheep that have been led astray. I weep and I bleed for the little sheep that have been broken and left to die; for the ones who are the runts that nobody wants to have anything to do with. I weep for the sheep that have not even been found yet, because nobody is going looking for them. I weep because I see their pain and I see their heartache, and I know that I have everything to offer them. I do not have human hands, I do not have human feet, I do not have human lips, but you do. And if you will be my human hands and my human feet and my human lips, I will give you my tears to bear, and I will give you my heart, so that you can go out and reach those for whom I weep so much.” That, I believe, is the greatest point and the biggest stage we need to be aiming towards, which is to bear in ourselves the broken heart of the Lord Jesus. God is love. He ministers from His heart, and we also should be ministering from His heart. We can only minister from His heart if we have that heart in us, and it will come with brokenness. It will come by taking that grape and crushing it. That is how you are going to have the heart of Christ. To be broken before Him, to be nothing, to start out as a worm. It is not a nice place to be. Passion for Jesus You need to come to the place where you are weeping His tears; where you are feeling His blood pumping through you. Where you know throughout your whole being what He feels, what He wants, what He is saying, so that you can act upon it. You will not come to that place unless you surrender yourself to it, unless you surrender yourself to His death and surrender yourself to being crushed and broken, to being nothing but a little stone. You will never know His tears and you will never know His heart until you come to that place of brokenness. I know that the price seems so terribly high, that you think, “Father, I don’t know i f I could give these things up.” But oh the rewards. Just the reward of knowing the Lord Jesus Christ. To know Him and walk with Him and talk with Him, and to have Him so deep within you and so madly in love with you. In fact just to have that, and not even the power and the anointing, is enough. It is enough just to be so madly in love with Him that you cannot wait to be with Him; that when you wake up He is the first thing in your mind. When you drift off to sleep you are speaking to Him. To just have that in your life far outweighs any treasure, far outweighs all the gold in the world. When you can get to that stage the power and the glory will mean nothing to you. When the power and the glory and the anointing mean nothing to you, only to be shut away with Jesus and know His heart, you finally come to the place of being a little stone. You finally are becoming something that the Lord can start to use. Like us at @ https://facebook/MicAssemblyNetwork
