Your volunteer Firefighters of the Marlboro Hose Co. No. 1 had a very busy day yesterday. Our first call was dispatched at 2253 hours on 1/9/14 to assist our sister company (Milton FD) at a fatal car accident on Milton Turnpike. Units back in service about an hour later. Our second call was dispatched at 0515 hours on 1/10/14 to assist Clintondale FD (with numerous other departments) at a large apple cooler storage fire on Station Road. We were requested with an Engine and a Rescue and units returned back into service at approx. 1600 hours. Our third call was dispatched at 1951 hours on 1/10/14 for a structure fire on Western Avenue. This was a very large multi family building with approximately 24 tenants. Upon arrival, heavy fire was showing out of a second floor window. The fire was in a very difficult location, however the building was saved from a total loss. The Marlboro Hose Co. No. 1 would like to thank ALL units that assisted at this fire. The assistance was much needed and very helpful. Units returned back into service at approx. 2350 hours.
