You’re Not Alone 7/30/13 There once was a girl beautiful and bright. She had everything going for her. She had a family who loved and supported her. She was also a gifted athlete. She had lots of friends and a boyfriend who loved her. One day the girl’s world was flipped upside down. She was torn away from everything and everyone she knew. And she knew it was because of one lie. She had to say goodbye to her family and friends. This girl, who was almost a woman, started a new. In a new town filled with nothing but stingers. But now she was so confused. She was like a little bird trapped in a cage drying to stretch her wings. She would no longer see her friends and family. She could no longer play the sports she loved so. All she could do was burry herself in her studies and books. The girl felt so lost and alone. She fell into a deep darkness. The pain from her world disappearing that the girl tried on several occasions to take her own life. Fortunately it did not work, The girl grew up into a beautiful young woman who learned on her own how to put on a happy mask which hid the sadness and pain. She now knew how to hide her true feelings from the world. The woman began to work and began to cut her wrists to relieve some of the sadness and pain. She still felt lost and alone. She felt like she had lost everything that day. The woman grew older. She is now married and had two beautiful daughters. She was truly happy in her life. Then tragedy struck the woman again. Her youngest daughter was now an angel in heaven. She had passed away from SIDS; she was only three and a half months old. The woman’s world came crashing down on her again. DHS stepped in and took her other daughter from her. She felt so lost without her daughters. The woman and her husband did everything that DHS told them to do and eventually got their daughter back, but now their marriage was falling apart. Her husband having outburst of anger for some odd reason and it was aimed at her. The woman left her husband for a short period of time because she couldn’t take it anymore. Eventually they shorted everything out and became a family again. Their marriage was stronger than before. Even though there was a vital piece of their family missing they were happy again. This woman has gone through so much in her life but wouldn’t change a thing because all the things that happened to her made her into the woman she is today. How do I know all this you ask? I am the girl that was beautiful and brilliant. I am the athlete. I am the socialite. I am the girl who was torn away from everything and everyone she knew. I am the girl who tried to take her own life. I am the woman who worked very hard and cut her wrists. I am the woman, who pulled herself out of a deep depression, I am the woman who got married and had two daughters. I am the woman who lost her sweet baby girl to SIDS and got my other daughter taken from me. I am the woman whose marriage fell apart but got stronger. Why did I write my story? I wrote this to let other girls, boys, men and women know that they are not alone in this world. That there are others who have felt what you feel. That there are others who have gone through what you are going through right now. I am not going to tell you everything will be all right because I don’t know that. I don’t know the future. There are days I wish I did. But what I will tell you is that you’re not alone. There are people out there who love you and care about you. I am not alone; you are not alone. Now it’s time to write your own story…
