Yo’… did you know that Africans Were Master Shipbuilders? Some people have insisted that Africans couldn’t have made it to the “New World” ..simply because they didn’t have the skill and resources to sail across the Atlantic. But.. as it turns out, that’s completely false. Historians have discovered evidence that suggests Africans were masters at building ships and that it was actually a part of their tradition! Shipbuilding and sailing are over 20,000 years old in the Sahara and cave wall paintings of ancient ships were displayed in National Geographic magazine years ago! So if they are displaying these facts in magazines.. why isn’t it being taught as part of a history curriculum in schools? With ‘Documented’ shipbuilding skills and the navigation skills that were noted by other historians of the time, the myth that Africans wouldn’t have been able to sail to the New World becomes officially debunked! A Dr. Julian Whitewright, a maritime archaeologist at the University of Southampton, explained, the voyage from Africa on ancient ships was “quite a plausible undertaking, based on the capabilities of the vessel of the period and historical material stating it took place.” Now… some people are going to say what those people always say… “Why does everything always got to be about race?” And “I”m going to say: “The fact that this isn’t being taught in history classes or even in schools period… proves, that its ENTIRELY about race! If “I” can go to school and learn about “Zeus” “Apollo” and all the rest of them Mount Olympus mofo’s that never even existed… why didnt I.. or couldn’t “I” have learned about some REAL Africans that DID actually exist.. IN the “New World” that pre-dated Columbus’ journey ..by thousands of years?! The Anglo race Made it about race.. and continues to make it about race. There has been No changes to the school curriculum.. and “I” don’t believe a brother/sister should have to first, Grow up..
