Yup. This scene says a lot about a scenario replayed each election year. Support our Troops! Its one of their most favored rally calls. The ones hawking this farce the loudest and longest are the extreme elements of the GOP that, almost to a man/woman, never served...and their self-proclaimed pundit/supporters. Many of those of appropriate age dodged the draft. I dont really blame these faux humans for being worthless, lying sacks of rotten fruit. I blame those of us willing to be led by the mighty combo of fear (any fear will do) and the chest thumping imitation patriotism that causes folks to do very ugly things. After all, a snake is a snake, right? Its those who support the snakes - whether from fear or the self-righteous conviction that they are God, Judge, And Jury for all their fellow citizens...voters. Oh...and profound apologies to all snakes for using you in such a vile illustration!
