Yuva Vani service restored New Delhi, July 1: Clarifying that the technical reasons cited for stopping Yuva Vani service have been overcome, Union Minister of State of Information and Broadcasting, Prakash Javadekar said the service will be relayed from a different frequency. Instead of AM frequency, it will now be from FM frequency which will make the radio signals more clear, he added. In response to a proposal by Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Science & Technology to immediately restore the Yuva Vani service on All India Radio (AIR) from Jammu Station, Javadekar today issued orders to restore the Yuva Vani service and conveyed the information about the decision to Dr Jitendra who thanked Javadekar for his prompt response. Dr Jitendra said Yuva Vani service is a major outlet for youth in terms of encouraging the young talent in broadcasting and art as well as in providing an outlet for grievances of the young to be aired on the radio network.
