Zach Crotty, 19, October 1, 1990 to October 26, 2009 Zach celebrates his 5th anniversary in heaven today. In Zachs memory please read: Zachs Story A new generation puts its own imprint on addiction. Zach Crotty died October 26th, 2009 from an addiction to prescription opiates that took over his life. It was only 25 days after his 19th birthday. This blog is dedicated to Zachs memory, and the hope that retelling Zachs story, will help save the lives of others. Zachs Story is many things. Its the story of a wonderful young man whose life was cut short. Its a place where those who loved Zach can share their thoughts. Its a place where the community can work together to try to halt the prescription painkiller epidemic that is killing our children. Please keep Zachs family and friends, especially his mom and dad (Mark Doc Crotty and Suzanne Crotty) and his sisters (Nichole and Kerri) in your thoughts and prayers today. Light a candle, send his family a little note or graphic, or simply say his name Zach Crotty. Zach will ALWAYS be loved and he will NEVER be forgotten. I will have a candle lit in Zachs memory.
