Zambia Sugar Plc, a large agro industry which is part of the Illovo Sugar Group, is the leading sugar producer in Zambia. Its main activities are the growing of sugarcane, the production and marketing of sugar and other sugar downstream products. The Company has a permanent employee base of 1700 and offers medical, education, sport recreation and other social activities on its Estates in Mazabuka. The Nekamba Sugar Mill area comprises approximately 28,000 hectares of irrigated sugarcane. An approximately 17,000 hectares is owned by Zambia Sugar Plc and the balance of 11,000 hectares is owned by fourteen commercial growers and three small scale grower entities. The affairs of the industry are managed by the Estimated Recoverable Crystal (L lIC) Committee comprising membership from Zambia Sugar Plc and the Growers. Thu Company now invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following positions: BUSINESS ANALYST (Zamsug-BA-2) Main Purpose of the Job Responsible for Illovo Sugar Group and Zambia Sugar financial and budget reporting requirements, including other and ad-hoc functions in the Financial Reporting Section. The role will report to the Financial Report Manager. Main Duties Preparation of monthly management accounts and forecasts for both Zambia Sugar (March basis) and ABF (ultimate holding company based in the UK) (September basis) in the required format, dealing with all matters raised or requested by Illovo and ABF Coordinate, consolidate and analyse monthly financial reports Assist in the completion of interim and year-end financial packs for submission to Illovo Corporate Finance in the required ABF format Prepare Group monthly financial statements, including the analysis of accounts and preparation of finance cost, net debt bridges and net working capital analysis Assist in the preparation of annual Strategic plans Compile Operations Review papers for submission to the Companies Directors.
