Zambia celebrates 50 years of Independece this year. Us as intelectuals especially those of you who have made important contributions in terms or suggestions on the way forward for our country we salute you. 50 years after independence let the so called educated people participate in active politics and stand as members of parliament and contribute positively to the development of our country. When politicians sacrifice to represent their peoples aspirations you say they are not educated enough to make decisions and decisions should be made by technocrats who sacrifice nothing for our motherland but are only interested to contribute to Zambia when they have made it out there. There are tough decisions to be made by Zambia for Zambia by Zambia. It is like democracy...let our technocrats be involved in all corners of our development including politics otherwise we shall make decisions on their part . Gentlemen Zambia is ours and ours to develop regardless of tiribe and gender. Only those who are active and seen to be active shall make meaningfull contribution to the development of our country. We vote for people because they are the brightest but because the have the courage, resolve and indeed sacrificial heart to push their agend and the countries as a whole. So technocracts let us not just condem people like GBM, Masumba,etc and claim they need to listen to you when you do not even have the courage to stand against them as members of parliament. Now our politicians challenge you on facebook and all you can say is someone is running their facebook page. Wake up Zambia let us not think that what is foreign is always better than what we already have.
