Zambians Anxiously Await Results The 24 hour black out on announcement of results will be lifted this morning with the Electoral Commission of Zambia resuming the exercise at 10:00 hours. Electoral Commission of Zambia chairperson Ireene Mambilima on Wednesday suspended the announcement of results on account that voting had been extended in 51 polling stations. Mambilima had argued that continuing with the announcement of results would influence voting in the areas that the process was still on-going. However the tabulation of votes had continued with only the announcing frozen by ECZ. It is expected that when the results are announced today a clearer picture will emerge on the possible winner as several rumours have been bandied around on the possible successor to President Michael Sata.
