Zechariah 11:17 Woe to the worthless shepherd, who deserts the flock!..... Hallelujah precious people. We thank God for this morning He has accorded us. We appreciate Him for unconditional love, the love that has made us be. Many of us are shepherds in different capacities, but the question is, how have we handled the sheep? How have we beheld them even in our attitudes, in our prayer life, in our preaching to them and in our administrative roles? How have we because here is a reprimand to he that does desert the sheep....woe unto him.... Shall we pray Almighty Father, the Father of our Lord Jesus, this morning we come to You with thanksgiving in our hearts. We thank You so much for Calvary, for indeed, it is here where our burdens are lifted. It is here, the overwhelming burdens of sin are lifted. It is here where we get our rest. It is here where the great transfer takes place. It is here where intimacy with my Father is restored. It is here where my sight is sharpened. It is here at Calvary hill where I get to live again. Yes, it is here where I regain my royal and priestly status. It is here, it is here.... Precious Lord, this morning we acknowledge Your supremacy and Your love that has made all this possible. Thank You for loving us so much that You gave Your very best to make a way for us to access You. Surely Your name is LOVE. This name is laden with so much for the church. Within this name, there is patience, theres kindness, theres selflessness, theres humility, theres truth, theres protection and perseverance and much more. Dear Lord, thank You so much. As we start this day, allow us start it with You. That it may be revealed to us, in a better way, what LOVE truly is. That with this revelation, we may grow to love You even the more; that our stature shall be hinged on this realization ; that our service shall be informed by this realization ; that our shepherding the sheep will be motivated by this love. This love that isnt self seeking, the love that doesnt rejoice in evil but with truth, the love that always trusts, always protects, always hopes and always perseveres. The love that will not allow me desert the flock, the love we see in our Lord Jesus, that He persevered all that we may receive the full package as delivered at Calvary Hill. Dear heavenly Father, at this hour, we submit to Your mighty counsel, that this counsel may help us worship You even as we serve. May this counsel help us even as we present our requests to You. That because of this counsel, today we shall pray Your prayer, we shall pray what is on Your heart so that it may be done here on earth as it is in heaven. Almighty Father, we stand in the gap for they that have not found this WAY. That today, You will place servants on their way, servants that are driven by Your love, so they may help them receive the Lord. For when we seek first Your kingdom, all the rest will fall in place. So be it in Jesus name, amen.
