Zimbabwe wont re-introduce the Zimbabwean dollar in the foreseeable future! This was revealed by Deputy Minister of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services Supa Mandiwanzira at a Ministry of Information cocktail party organised for journalists and media practitioners at Rainbow hotel, Bulawayo, Thursday evening. In a hard hitting address to journalists, Supa urged journalists to show love and loyalty to their country. He called upon media to stop misleading people shying away investors by creating a sense of falsehood and uncertainty that Zim dollar is about to hit the markets. The function was also attended by his master, the minister of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services, Prof Jonathan Moyo who did not address the journalists but spent his time chatting to different journalists from various media houses and individuals during the course of the evening. It looks like the US dollar is here to stay and unfortunately continues to be abused, devalued and treated just like the old Zim dollar.
