a couple things Ive read have bothered me tonight 1. I feel bad for some people. You will never have any true friends in life if you have never learned common decency and respect for others, whether or not you agree with their decision. 2. No one is an idiot or a bad mother because they did something little like chose to get their childs ears pierced. 3. The reason people who have a child do not really care for your rude advice on how to raise kids when you do not have one is in no way because we think that we have magical fairy dust sprinkled on us when the sperm fertilized the egg. Its because you dont know. You do not know what it is like to instantly fall in love with nothing more than a little bean on a fuzzy screen. You dont know what it like to finally physically hold your baby in your arms and know that nothing else in the world matters more than that kid. The very feeling you have when you see them and why the world stops when you see them. You dont understand why we make the decisions that we make for them, and how much effort goes into each and every miniscule thing that we do. Why we go out of our way for something that looks so simple or stupid to you, but it means the world to us or that kid. You dont know how it feels to wake up at the crack of dawn or every two hours and run all day off little to no sleep, because you have too much to do and too much that your children need; trying to take in every little second of their childhood because you just KNOW that its not going to last long. You dont know that terrible feeling you get when they get THE COMMON COLD and look so unbelievably pitiful you would do anything to transfer that pain to you; or why the miniscule pinch of a needle for shots makes you want to cry with them. I could go on and on, but honestly whats the point? You dont understand and you wont understand until it happens to you. Yet you choose to sit and talk about us and the decisions that we make like you do. I honestly believe parents do the best they can everyday for their child. We research and learn what is best for our particular child that is different from their siblings and everyone else around them. Moral of my rant: dont judge people for their parenting choices when you dont know the situation and every detail, and if you dont have children yet go ahead and realize you dont know ANYTHING about what we do or go through.
