a real dog of war!!!...Stubby Stubby entered combat on Feb. 5, 1918, at Chemin des Dames and went on to participate in four offensives and 17 battles!!!. For capturing an enemy German spy, Stubby was put in for a promotion to the rank of sergeant by the commander of the 102nd Infantry . He became the first dog to be given rank in the U.S. armed forces.... today pit bulls are baned from Belgium. Brazil. Denmark, Finland, France, Canada ,the Netherlands, New Zealand ,Norway ,Poland, Puerto Rico and Sweden...not beacause of their so called violent nature but because of mans sheer stupidity
