alleghenyrivercleanup/schedule.html It’s that time of the year again: the Allegheny River Cleanup is right around the corner. This year the work will occur on September 6th, 8th, 12th, and the 13th (see details below). And guess what, we have apparently done such a good job on the Allegheny Islands Wilderness islands (Buckaloons to Tidioute and points south) in years past, that that segment of the river is not on the list this year. We worked ourselves right out of a job! However, that doesn’t mean the help of FAW volunteers isn’t needed this year. If you can pitch in for a day or more on one of the other sections your help will be greatly appreciated. Please click the link below to see how you can get plugged in to this year’s doings. And remember that just because there isn’t a formal cleanup day for the Allegheny Islands Wilderness this year, that doesnt mean you can’t pick up litter on your own whenever you happen to be out there for a paddle if you’d like! Thank you! alleghenyrivercleanup/schedule.html Conewango Creek (Upper). Saturday, September 6, 2014.
