alone at night with my blade and my serpent lazily coiled in the corner of her tank, boredom does not exist in this thick skull of mine, so i figure i should write out some of the thoughts that keep me company on lonely nights like this with only the heartbeat of the antique clock my son gave me a decade ago and the silent stars keeping me company. often i think of my lovely lady or how much i dislike the average pesky fkn human, but now, now i consider quitting these shitty cigarettes, a recurring theme throughout this life. this bronchial infection is probably an influence there. ive opened all the doors and windows on this side of the house to let in the delicious summertime air, also inadvertently inviting an infant wolf spider whom i allowed to take temporary shelter under a bookshelf heaped high with poetry. i place my blade on the table and blow a kiss to my serpent who ignores me completely, just like these summertime stars who are oblivious to this lonely poet steadily tap-tap-typing bukowski-esque trash on a filthy keyboard for an online audience who will probably not respond. nothing in this universe is half as beautiful to me as total silence. 4-11-13
