am wondering how many (besides myself) have not tried gluing the heel ends of rocks to a 2X4. Like many of you I am sure, I have boxes and boxes of pieces that have been cut down to where the vise in the saw cannot grasp. I had a reall nice end of crazy lace that I NEEDED to finish cutting so decided to try the 2X4 method. I am now a convert big time. Glued the stone to the 2X4, let it set for 2 days then slapped it in the vise, Got 4 very nice slabs out of it that I would not have cut in the past. I used carpenters wood glue.
