amigos! 8857 - Videographer/Director for WCTV Whitewater Community Television, Inc. (WCTV), a 501c3 not-for-profit corporation, is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Videographer/Director to be part of the WCTV team to provide Public, Education and Government (PEG) Access to Wayne County, IN. Responsibilities include all aspects of television production and programming as well as some commercial production. Successful candidates will need to have the ability to video tape, direct and edit WCTV produced programs; prepare outside producers video material for telecast; program automated program playback equipment; assist with updating weather warning/delay/cancellation system; troubleshoot and resolve broadcast problems, train students and volunteers in the use of cameras and editing and respond to requests from volunteer producers. Flexibility to work a schedule that includes evenings and weekends is required. An Associate degree in telecommunications or a related field required with a bachelor’s degree being preferred. Experience with directing programs in the studio and field as well as strong editing stills, especially with Adobe Premier Pro is necessary. Must have the ability to work independently and get projects completed in a timely manner. A strong candidate will show the ability to bring creativity in their production as well as directing of live programming (talk, public affairs and sports events and shows). Good communication and interpersonal skills required. Preference may be given to a resident of Wayne County, IN. Successful candidate if not a current Wayne County, Indiana resident will be required to move to Wayne County, IN within 3 months of accepting the position and be able to monitor the station’s signals on cable. WCTV is located on the campus of Indiana University East in Richmond. Through an agreement between the WCTV Board of Directors and IU East, this position will be an employee of IU with full IU benefits including health insurance, paid retirement and paid time off. Starting annual salary for this position is $ 28,288.
