an upcoming interfaith event - A Buddhist response to Hunger Engaged Buddhism: Listening And Responding With Compassion To World Hunger BodhiVenerable Bikkhu Bodhi Monday, September 16, 5:30 p.m. Hendricks Chapel While on campus in October 2012, His Holiness, the Dalai Lama reminded us that, “Peace must come through our actions,” encouraging all of us to engage in acts of compassion and kindness that might create change. This lecture by the founder of Buddhist Global Relief (BGR), will explore ways in which engaged listening can move to acts of compassion, particularly in regard to world hunger. Information about various hunger relief efforts will be available in the lobby of the Heroy Geology Laboratory starting at 4 p.m. A brief reception will take place in the lobby after the Monday lecture.
