annonymous... I have a question and wish to have my name withheld please. My husband has been a truck driver for 5 years and in July he went into congestive heart failure. While he was in the hospital his company fired him but said "he can come back when he gets better" now in my opinion if they turned their back on us when we were down why on earth would a person willing go back to them?!? Now fast forward a little, when he got back on his feet health wise we went and applied for unemployment and the state approved him for it, now the company has disputed it and we are going to a hearing. My question is does anyone know if congestive heart failure is a disqualification for DOT? I have tried to research it and all the legal mumbo jumbo is confusing. He is on constant oxygen 24 hours a day. i did find that part in the regulations but nothing about the heart failure. The hearing is on Tuesday and your help would be greatly apperciated!
