another productive meeting last night of the Frankston Labor party and I was there, like usual you will have to join to find out what happens, but we had quite a few new people and other transfurs to our group so that even the room had to be set up diffrently so that we could all be seated. this is so positive as to the feeling of all those, at least in our area who feel that they cant just sit in the wings any more they need to act. Sunday there is a protest on our forshore and some of us will be there to show our support, Its important that we get active, Keep Abbott from thinking he has it all his way. Keep in mind that only about 30000 votes spread over alot of areas is the diffrence. Labor cannot just sit and wait we need people, we need You to help keep the momentum going while we are in the opposition. We cannot let Abbotts government proceed without a voice there saying We want action on climate change, We want our NBN, we want Gonski, We want NDIS, We will not go quietly into the night... ( to quote one of my husbands favorite movies )... We care about all Australia not just the well off few. That is why it is important that you not only read sites like this you pass on what you see on your sites, that you spread the word. that you get active by joining the Labor party. Get involved locally. I find it inspiring to go to the meetings, To hear what is happening in the local, state and federal level. to even voice my opinion, and yes I do open my mouth on quite a few occasions. but then i was teachers pet at school it comes natual. I am making alot of friends too, My depression devorsed me from all my old friends kept me in the house and separated me from all I had known. Now I am stepping out. Its scarey I know that thank goodness my husband is comming with me, he is my rock, my corrage, my supporter who stuck with me though the last ten years, dispite me having a break down two weeks after our wedding, He sits with me and supports me with his silent acceptance, thou not so silent now he posts quite reguarly on this page now as Mat smith, Becoming part of Labor has worken us up, has got us going, and has inspired us into more activity to help our fellow people. I encorage you all to find what we have found. If you have voted labor all your life, or like me you have just discovered how good they are, make a stand and join, Labor Needs YOU. We want U in LABOR. We Need U in LABOR Labor Now
